Based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), [LEGAL BUSINESS NAME] is the controller of personal data processed through Campop.

Why we use personal data

- respond to enquiries
- correct or update listings
- communicate with Providers
- improve usability and performance
- understand how Campop is used
- prevent misuse and maintain security
- comply with legal obligations

Legal bases
Depending on the circumstances, Campop may process personal data based on:
- legitimate interests
- performance of a contract or steps requested before entering into a contract
- consent
- legal obligations
Where processing is based on consent, users may withdraw that consent at any time.
Children’s personal data
Campop helps adults discover activities for children and teenagers but is not intended to collect unnecessary identifiable personal data directly from children.
Parents, guardians and Providers should not submit unnecessary personal information about children through Campop.
Campop does not intentionally request or store information such as a child’s full name, school, health information, allergies or medical information unless this becomes genuinely necessary for a future service.
Camp alerts and a child’s birth month and year
To provide age-relevant camp alerts, Campop may collect a child’s birth month and birth year. We do not ask for or store the child’s exact date of birth.
- This information is provided by a parent or guardian, never collected directly from a child.
- It is used only to match age-appropriate camps and to send relevant alerts, by calculating the child’s age at the time a camp takes place.
- Campop does not need the child’s name for this purpose and does not ask for it.
- A child’s birth month and year are not shared with camp providers.
- Providers receive only aggregated or otherwise appropriate information, unless there is a separate lawful basis and transparent notice for sharing more.
- For analytics and reporting, Campop uses aggregated age bands (for example 4–6 or 7–9) rather than birth month, birth year or an exact age linked to an identifiable person.
If Campop becomes aware that unnecessary personal data relating to a child have been submitted, we may delete them.
Users may contact Campop if they believe personal data relating to a child should not be processed, and may unsubscribe from camp alerts at any time.
Providers and publicly available information
Campop may display professional or business information about camp Providers.
Some Provider information may be obtained directly from Providers or from publicly available sources, such as Provider websites.
Where such information constitutes personal data, Campop processes it in accordance with applicable data protection law.
Providers may contact Campop to request correction or review of information displayed on the platform.
Service providers
Campop may use third-party service providers for:
- website hosting and infrastructure
- databases
- website development
- analytics
- email and contact forms
- security
- other technical services
These providers may process personal data on behalf of Campop where necessary to provide their services.
Where required, appropriate data-processing arrangements are maintained with these providers.
International data transfers
Some technology providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
Where personal data are transferred outside the EEA, Campop will use appropriate safeguards where required by GDPR, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards.
Data retention
Campop keeps personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or as required by law.
Actual retention periods will be documented and reflected here once production systems and processes are finalised.
